Una causa.

Cada vez que veo a un ancianito/a recorriendo por las veredas en las calles, sobreviviendo, pienso donde estarían sus familiares; y si no tiene hijos, me imagino que por lo menos tiene algún ser querido. Entonces es inadmisible que se encuentre en esas condiciones. Pero analizando más profundamente también corresponde a la sociedad no dejar a un adulto mayor sin ninguna protección o seguridad, a su suerte. Tal vez se levanten argumentos sobre como llegó hasta esos años, sin un hogar seguro. Pero si pensamos más, también existen factores externos que nos puede dejar desamparados, y todos en cierta forma recibimos gracia y debemos extender misericordia.  Si cada persona ofrece lo que tiene a los más vulnerables estaríamos en un mundo mejor. Por eso tenemos la responsabilidad de  brindarles un hogar, los alimentos y el cuidado que necesitan.

 Cuanto más le corresponde a la iglesia ser ejemplo en obras, porque es muy normal pasar por alto esas situaciones, omitiendo el degrado social.

Solo se necesita un poco de humanidad para dejar de ser indiferentes, dar palabras pero sin acciones, para despues llevar flores sobre una lápida fría.

Las leyes protegen a los niños, por eso es mas fácil encontrar respuestas cuando se trata sobre los menores, pero ¿quien defiende a los ancianos?. Solo observa más tu entorno y te darás cuenta que tu necesidad es mínima en relación con otras personas.

Dar protección material es tan importante como la cobertura espiritual. Tal vez no desean depender de nadie, pero sus fuerzas no son suficientes, por eso es una causa de todos.

Entonces también ellos le responderán diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, sediento, forastero, desnudo, enfermo , y no te servimos? Entonces les responderá diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis a uno de estos más pequeños, tampoco a mí lo hicisteis. Mateo 25.43,45

Every time I see an elderly woman walking along the sidewalks, just trying to get by, I wonder where her family is; and if she doesn’t have children, I imagine she must at least have a loved one. So it’s unacceptable that she should be in such a situation. But looking deeper, it’s also society’s responsibility not to leave an elderly person without any protection or security, left to fend for themselves. Perhaps arguments will arise about how she ended up in such conditions, without a safe home. But if we think about it further, there are also external factors that can leave us helpless, and in a certain way, we all receive grace and must extend mercy. If each person offered what they have to the most vulnerable, we would be in a better world. That is why we have a responsibility to provide them with a home, food, and the care they need.

 It is all the more incumbent upon the church to set an example through deeds, because it is all too common to overlook these situations, ignoring social degradation.

It takes only a little humanity to stop being indifferent, to stop offering words without actions, only to later lay flowers on a cold gravestone.

Laws protect children, which is why it’s easier to find solutions when it comes to minors, but who defends the elderly? Just take a closer look at your surroundings, and you’ll realize that your own needs are minimal compared to those of other marginalized people. 

Providing material protection is as important as spiritual covering. Perhaps they don't wish to depend on anyone, but their age weighs more heavily on them than their desires; therefore, this is a cause for everyone.

Then they also will answer, saying, “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick, and did not minister to you?” Then he will answer them, saying, “Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” Matthew 25:43-45
